General Microbiology
This unit aims at equipping the trainee with relevant knowledge on the existence, classification and role of microrganisms in food and public health. The trainee will also be instilled with practical skills in handling, analyzing, enumerating microorganisms in the laboratory situations and food processing.
Agrcultural Production
This unit is intended to impart knowledge on Principles of Crop and Animal Production as well as Agricultural extension. The knowledge will enable the trainee to appreciate the sources of food raw materials and their post-harvest handling, thereby being more effective in Food Processing and Preservation technology.
